Cleaning Instructions of Earthing Sleeping Mat:
- Wipe down the outside of your product using a damp cloth mixed with a small amount of mild household soap.
- Use a clean, damp cloth to thoroughly wipe away the soap. (This prevents buildup which blocks conductivity.)
- Let your product air dry.
Important: Never use a cleaning agent containing bleach, disinfectants, oils, or whitening agents as they can ruin the conductivity of your grounding product. Never put your product in the washing machine or dryer

I started looking into earthing/grounding mats after hearing an interview with Clint Ober who has been doing research & teaching about the science of earthing for decades.
The first thing I did was test with my multi meter to verify that it was actually grounding me. If you aren't exactly sure how to do this, there are plenty of YouTube videos out there that can show you what the right settings are. Every multi meter is a bit different so you need to make sure you have it on the right setting so are getting an accurate reading.
At first I was disappointed because I was not seeing any difference or change in the multi meter. But then I tried an alternate outlet and my reading immediately dropped to 0. Success!
The issue I think some people have is that every outlet is a bit different and the needles on the multi meter are very tiny and not designed to get fully contact with the ground plug in your outlets. I found that I had to angle the multi meter needle just the right way to ensure it was getting proper contact inside the outlet ground plug. I think this could be why some people complain that it didn't work at all for them.
Once you get the proper setup on the multi meter, it is quite fascinating! I experimented with touching different things in my office (light bulb, power strip, computer, etc.) and in real time I could see the voltage in my body spike and fluctuate with these different contacts. Then, as soon as I step onto the grounding mat, the voltage drops to zero.
I've been using the grounding mat all day working from home, and sleep with one at the foot of my bed all night. I don't have any specific aliments I was trying to address so I would say that I don't physically feel any significant shifts in my body. However, I feel good knowing that I'm grounding my body and hopefully reducing the long-term impacts of electrical charge build up.
There is a lot of science behind grounding and I figure it is a very simple thing I can incorporate into my life. Certainly worth it in my mind.
